Job summary

El Camino College seeks an Associate Dean of Public Safety to lead its Public Safety instructional programs and advance the college's growth. The role requires strategic vision, collaboration, and strong leadership to guide AJ, EMT, Fire Academy, Fire Technology, Paramedic, and POST academies.

You will work with faculty, staff, and community partners to align curricula with workforce needs, manage budgets, pursue grants, supervise personnel, and uphold college policies while promoting student

Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
One year of formal leadership experience related to the administrator's assignment and one year of work experience to teach in a related field.

Responsibilities

Lead Public Safety instructional programs including Administration of Justice, EMT, Fire Academy, Fire Technology, Paramedic, and POST Academies.
Develop goals and objectives; plan, schedule, direct, improve, and evaluate programs and services.
Foster collaboration across the college, governance bodies, staff, and external partners to promote customer service and innovation.
Monitor budgets and resources; seek and manage grants and contracts to support programs.
Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate faculty and staff; ensure compliance with district policies.
Coordinate programs with industry and workforce partners to meet job market needs.
