Responsibilities:

• Responsible for routine safety and emergency security activities, safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients, and property.
• First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
• Safe de-escalation of critical events and engagement with potentially combative or escalating subjects using sound judgment.

Schedule:

Day shift, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends; up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years' experience in security, military, or public safety preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program (policy 3500).
• Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) required within one year of hire.
• Georgia P.O.S.T. certification preferred.
• Ability to carry non-lethal weapons such as Taser CEW and baton.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening and maintain all training certifications including Taser, ASP Baton, and Mental Health First Aid.
