Primary Purpose:

Provides a crime prevention and life-safety presence on campus by observing and reporting. Facilitates use of the campus by opening, closing and monitoring control of NSU property. Investigates campus incidents and occurrences. Communicates and coordinates with the NSU community the crime prevention goals of the Public Safety Department through personal interaction and other methodologies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:

• May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of bending, climbing, siting and/or standing in performance of job duties up to 8 hours.
• May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils and computer keyboards.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.

Required Certifications/Licensures:Have or obtain current and valid Florida Driver's License with no more than three (3) points.

• Parking enforcement specialist certification.
