City of Fredericksburg is seeking a Public Safety IT Systems Business Analyst to support and enhance essential public safety systems for Police, Fire/EMS, and Dispatch. The role blends technical and analytical tasks with opportunities to upgrade software, align workflows, and train users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• One (1) year of experience in software configuration, application support, or related IT operations.
• Ability to pass a Police background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support and Troubleshooting for CAD, RMS, mobile/in-car apps, and NG911.
• System Alignment and Workflow Integration for Police, Fire/EMS, and Dispatch workflows.
• Documentation and Reporting including basic queries and user guides.
• Project Management and Collaboration on small projects and technology initiatives.
