Job summary

The City of Irving is seeking personnel to support the Police Department in equipment management, vehicle coordination, and front desk duties. The role involves handling incidents on the road, enforcing parking rules, and maintaining CJIS compliance and certifications.

A flexible schedule, including shifts and holidays, is expected. Applicants must pass a thorough background check and polygraph; NCIC/TCIC/TLETS certifications must be obtained within five business days of starting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Duties involve CJIS access; thorough background check required.
• Must obtain and maintain NCIC/TCIC, TCIC and TLETS certifications within five business days of start.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment inspections and inventories.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and transport.
• Enforce parking regulations and assist with front desk operations.
• Provide supplemental response to non-emergency incidents (minor collisions, stranded motorists, obstructions).
• Ensure compliance with departmental standards and provide logistical support for fleet and equipment.
