Job summary

City of Irving is seeking a Maintenance Technician for parks and recreation facilities. You will respond to maintenance requests for playgrounds, aquatic facilities, park infrastructure, and rentals; open/close gates; and manage lights for vendor rentals and events.

Additional duties include carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry work; painting walls, assembling furniture, and light custodial tasks. Must lift up to 50 pounds, have a HS diploma, two years of mechanical maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of mechanical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests for playgrounds, aquatic facilities, park infrastructure, and rentals; open/close gates; manage lights for vendor rentals and events.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry work; paint interiors/exteriors; assemble/move furniture; perform light custodial duties.
