City of Plantation's Police Department is seeking a Fleet and Facilities Coordinator to manage maintenance, repairs, and readiness of the police vehicle fleet and facilities. This non-exempt, at-will role reports to the Fleet and Facilities Manager and supports daily operations by coordinating vendor services and keeping records.

The ideal candidate will track service history, stay compliant with safety and regulatory requirements, coordinate with vendors, and assist with asset documentation

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred in Logistics, Public Administration, Facilities Management, or related field.
• One or more years of experience in fleet coordination, facilities maintenance coordination, logistics, or public sector operational support.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Mansioni

• Coordinates preventive maintenance and repair schedules for sworn and non-sworn police vehicles.
• Tracks vehicle service history, mileage, inspections, registrations, warranties, and equipment installations.
• Coordinates with city garage staff, external vendors, and contractors for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and upfitting.
• Monitors fleet availability and reports vehicle status, downtime, and readiness to supervisors or command staff.
• Assists with fleet assignment/replacement planning by maintaining records and preparing usage and cost reports.
• Ensures compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory requirements related to police fleet operations.
• Assists with the documentation of vehicle transfers, auction, donation or disposal.
• Coordinates maintenance, repairs, and preventative services for police facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, doors/locks, generators, and security systems.
• Submits and tracks work orders; follows up with vendors and city departments to ensure timely completion.
• Maintains records of facility inspections, repairs, and service contracts.
• Assists with facility projects, renovations, and equipment installations as assigned. Assists with the documentation of asset transfers, auction, donation or disposal.
• Makes sure department records, logs, and reports related to fleet and facilities operations are accurate.
