The City of Plantation, Florida is seeking a Fleet and Facilities Coordinator within the Police Department to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and readiness of the police vehicle fleet and facilities. You will work with vendors, track maintenance, and maintain records, reporting to the Fleet and Facilities Manager.

Role emphasizes non-supervisory coordination across fleet and facilities services, with an AT WILL employment relationship. Office environment and on-site work in Plantation, FL.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in Logistics, Business, Public Administration, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
• One+ year of experience in fleet coordination, facilities maintenance coordination, logistics, or public sector operational support.

Mansioni

• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair schedules for police vehicles.
• Track vehicle service history, mileage, inspections, registrations, warranties, and equipment installations.
• Coordinate with city garage staff, external vendors, and contractors for maintenance and upfitting.
• Monitor fleet availability and report status to supervisors.
• Assist with fleet assignment and replacement planning and cost reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for fleet operations.
• Document vehicle transfers, auctions, donations, or disposals.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and preventive services for police facilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Submit and track work orders; follow up with vendors for timely completion.
• Maintain facility inspection and service contract records.
• Assist with asset transfers, auctions, and disposal documentation.
• Maintain crime department radios and related accessories inventory.
