Job summary

The GIS Analyst position at Canyon County maintains and updates Elections, Law Enforcement, and First Responder GIS databases to support decision-making and emergency response. You will update zones for 911 dispatchers and field responders with a focus on data integrity and confidentiality.

Under IT Development Manager supervision, you will develop maps and web applications, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with departments to ensure current spatial data is accessible and compliant with

Qualifications

• Background investigation including NCIC polygraph
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manipulate GIS spatial data and databases
• Perform spatial analysis and produce maps/reports
• Develop and update maps, drawings, and web apps using spatial data
• Respond to data requests and provide technical assistance
• Coordinate with GIS Administrator for system maintenance and compliance
• Update election boundaries for annexations and redistricting
• Integrate Sheriff CAD GIS data for public safety and EMS operations
