Job summary

The Cy-Fair Fire Department seeks a skilled GIS Analyst to support GIS and CAD operations, ensuring accurate geographic information for emergency response and 9-1-1 call-taking. You will maintain GIS mapping, develop maps, run spatial analyses, and coordinate with IT and vendors.

The role emphasizes data integrity, documentation, and technical support, with a focus on GIS/CAD troubleshooting and end-user assistance in a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in IT/GIS or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Two+ years IT/GIS experience preferred with strong GIS/CAD skills.
• Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS suite; experience with ArcGIS Pro/Map/Editor/Tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update GIS mapping and CAD data for dispatch operations.
• Perform spatial analyses and develop maps and reports for decisions.
• Troubleshoot GIS/CAD systems and provide user support and documentation.
• Develop workflows, datasets, and GIS products for projects and operations.
• Assist with CAD configurations and data management for incident response.
