Job summary

Canyon County is seeking an on-site GIS Analyst to perform skilled technical, cartographic and analytic work in developing and maintaining the county GIS database.

Under supervision of the GIS/Land Records Supervisor, duties include data research, map production, and data visualization using ArcGIS, WebAppBuilder and related tools; strong Python/ArcPy, SQL and HTML skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a strong foundation in GIS concepts and data management.
• Experience with geospatial data research, verification and updates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain geospatial data for maps and web applications.
• Coordinate special GIS projects and prepare findings for stakeholders.
• Create and update maps, dashboards and spatial datasets from databases.
