Job summary

City Of Statesville is seeking a Police Telecommunicator (Part-Time) to receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch appropriate public safety units, and maintain clear communications with field personnel. Position requires the ability to work a mid-shift schedule, typically about 19 hours per week, and to operate CAD, RMS, and NCIC systems accurately under pressure.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of experience as a public safety telecommunicator or closely related position.
• Ability to meet all applicable NC standards for telecommunicators.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatch police, fire, and other public safety personnel.
• Maintain communications with field units and manage information logs.
• Operate CAD, RMS, and NCIC systems.
• Provide training or guidance as needed.
