Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County, Essex Campus, seeks a part-time Public Safety Dispatcher to support college-wide communications from a centralized dispatch center. You will operate emergency telephones, radios, CCTV, and safety systems, ensuring timely response to incidents.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, two years of emergency call center or direct telephone customer experience, and proficiency with Microsoft applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of emergency call center or direct telephone customer experience required.
• Two years of experience with Microsoft applications required.
• Prior experience as dispatcher, police officer, firefighter or security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates emergency telephones, two-way radios, telecommunications and computer terminal equipment, closed circuit cameras, college and public safety databases, alarm and security systems.
• Answers emergency telephone lines.
• Monitors and maintains radio communications.
• Receives and records information and requests related to police services.
