Job summary

The City of Rawlins Police Department Communications Center seeks dedicated individuals for a Communications Officer role. Starting pay is $39,846 per year, with overtime and step increases for certifications.

This is a long-term, rewarding public-safety career in Rawlins, Wyoming. Officers will handle 911 and non-emergency calls, transmit information to law enforcement and emergency services, and maintain essential records.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Strong moral character.
• No felony or domestic violence convictions.

Responsibilities

• Record calls and activities and maintain records of cases.
• Answer 911 lines and dispatch appropriate agency.
• Operate NCIC/NLETS computer terminal and related equipment.
• Provide general assistance to the public in preparing complaints and reports.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.
