Qualifications

• 1–3 years of progressive work experience in dispatch.
• Education substitution allows 1–3 years of dispatch experience.
• Associate's Degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic law enforcement dispatching fundamentals.
• Complete classroom and on-the-job training.
• Provide vital communications link between the public and emergency services.
• Operate two-way radio and extensive computer systems.
• Rotate shifts, weekends and holidays.
