Laramie County Government is seeking a public safety dispatcher to support emergency communications for the county. The role involves handling 9-1-1 and related calls, coordinating dispatch with responders, and maintaining accurate records across radio, CAD, and CJIS systems.
Under supervision, the dispatcher ensures timely responses, tracks responders, and participates in ongoing training to meet emergency standards and procedures.
Under direct supervision, facilitates emergency and routine public safety communications between the general public, public safety responders and their respective support agencies; utilizes specialized radio, telephone and computer systems in order to prevent or lessen the likelihood of loss of life or property.
High School Diploma or equivalent and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation in accordance with Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission rules. Ability to work shift work, holidays, and weekends as the schedule requires.
