Job summary

The City of Lodi seeks an experienced Public Safety Dispatcher to operate 9-1-1 and non-emergency lines in a fast-paced dispatch center. You will coordinate police, fire and medical responses using CAD systems and multi-channel radio consoles, ensuring timely and accurate information flow to field units.

Qualifications include current employment as a 9-1-1 dispatcher with a law enforcement agency and at least one year of paid dispatching experience.

Qualifications

• This position requires currently working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher with a law enforcement agency.
• At least one year of paid public safety dispatching experience is required.
• No exceptions to these qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive 9-1-1 police, fire and medical emergency calls and non-emergency public safety calls.
• Dispatch police, fire or other emergency units in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintain contact with units, track status and coordinate information with other agencies.
• Provide administrative and office support within the dispatch center and participate in ongoing training.
