Job summary

Regional 911 Intake Solutions is seeking Police Dispatchers to support law enforcement operations by taking emergency and nonemergency calls and coordinating with officers across agencies. You will document incident details, prioritize responses, and relay crucial updates to field units.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong typing and listening skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some agencies provide training for entry-level applicants.
• Must be able to type accurately and listen actively, with clear radio communication.
• Ability to learn jurisdictional geography and operate under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and nonemergency requests for police assistance.
• Document incident locations, descriptions, vehicle details, and hazards.
• Assign calls to officers according to priority and procedures.
• Monitor officer status, radio traffic, and requests for assistance.
• Relay updates about changing incidents and potential safety concerns.
• Coordinate with neighboring agencies and other emergency services.
