Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher to provide essential dispatch communications between the dispatch center, officers, other department personnel, outside emergency and law enforcement agencies, and the public. This role also supports records maintenance and upholds the hospital's mission and values on site at Akron Main.

Full-time position with 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am).

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of police/fire/EMS dispatch experience preferred.
• Must obtain a dispatch certification within 90 days of hire.
• LEADS operator certification within 60 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Performs duties related to police dispatcher.
• Operates computers and standard office equipment including commonly used software.
• Communicate effectively with the public, remain calm under pressure, and multitask.
• Monitors cameras and alarms.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor or Command Staff.
