Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist law enforcement personnel and the public by providing information and answering questions.
• Enter, maintain and retrieve data in various law enforcement computer systems; create and update documents as necessary.
• Receive, research, process and issue permits, licenses and forms; verify documents for accuracy and completeness before forwarding to appropriate office; fingerprint citizens and sex offenders as requested.
• Establish and maintain office filing system; enter data on records manually or on computer; purge files per statutes and policy.
• Assist with setting up extraditions and cooperative transports; prepare paperwork for service of civil papers; verify information for criminal investigations.
• Collect fees for licenses and permits; make change accurately; balance fees.
