Job summary

Bell County in Central Texas seeks a dedicated dispatcher to support the Courts and Transportation Division and Animal Control. You will handle calls, enter and retrieve critical records, and manage protective orders in alignment with TCIC/NCIC standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, and the ability to obtain a Basic Telecommunicator license plus CPR certification within the first year. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with required training.
• English reading, writing and speaking proficient.
• Must obtain Basic Telecommunicator license within first year and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and dispatch for the Courts and Transportation Division and Animal Control.
• Enter, retrieve, and transmit information regarding warrants, vehicle registration, driver’s licenses, and records per TCIC/NCIC.
• Manage Protective Orders for Bell County per TCIC/NCIC requirements.
• Enter and modify Conditions or Bonds per TCIC.
• Assist the public with general information.
• Maintain alarm calls for remote alarms in county buildings.
• Enter and maintain vacation/close patrol watch files.
• Perform related duties as required.
