Job summary

Miller Bros. Const., Inc. is seeking a Project Manager 1 for Public Roadway projects.

The PM1 will support project success from bid through completion, working with the Group Manager to address bid challenges, risk issues, and profit impacts. The role emphasizes safety, client satisfaction, and effective cross-team communication. The PM1 will prepare bids, manage costs, and ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA standards while coordinating with Safety Directors, Superintendents and Foremen to keep

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management or estimation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in heavy construction.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move safely over uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project to a successful result for the client and Miller Bros. Const., Inc.
• Provide the highest level of client satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project.
• Ensure a safe working environment.
• Prepare bids and estimated costs using HCSS.
• Maximize project profitability.
• Manage fiscal and administrative responsibilities of the project.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, employees, and the public.
• Prepare and manage all contract documents from award to close-out.
• Review and update cost reports.
• Ensure OSHA/MSHA safety compliance and client safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Safety Directors, Superintendents and Foremen on site safety talks.
• Review project scopes, schedules, budgets, plans and specifications; build to meet specs.
• Coordinate all project activities and schedules through Superintendents and Foremen.
• Discuss resource requirements regularly with Supervisors and Equipment Manager.
• Report weekly project status to the Group Manager.
