The County of El Dorado seeks a Recorder Document Examiner/Indexer I in Placerville, CA. This entry-level role processes, records, and indexes vital records and real/personal property documents. You will assist visitors and provide information in accordance with recording requirements.

Ideal candidates are organized, comfortable with computers, and able to communicate clearly with diverse backgrounds. Training on recording procedures is provided and prior office experience is valued.

Formación

• Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of office support experience or 2 years of clerical experience in a comparable setting.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, examine, and classify a wide variety of legal documents including land records, birth/death certificates, and other vital statistics, ensuring compliance with recording requirements.
• Examine documents for sufficiency, jurisdiction, and appropriateness for recording; return unrecordable items with notes on discrepancies.
• Compute and collect fees; issue receipts; balance monies daily against receipts.
