Job summary

The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified Public Outreach Specialist I to join our aviation team in Los Angeles County. You will assist with stakeholder engagement, track inquiries, prepare notices, and coordinate outreach events.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s or master’s in communications or related fields and 5+ years in public/stakeholder communications, with proficiency in Canva, Illustrator, InDesign, and MS Office. Expect a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with CMS, email marketing, social media management, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience engaging with diverse communities, government agencies, and the media.
• Familiarity with public project lifecycles, phasing, and communication requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing stakeholder engagement and communications plans.
• Track public inquiries, comments, complaints, and requests for information.
• Prepare and distribute traffic advisories, notices, updates, and community notifications.
• Maintain stakeholder contact databases and distribution lists.
• Draft routine correspondence, meeting notices, updates, and outreach materials.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, FAQs, and informational materials.
• Coordinate logistics for public outreach events and stakeholder briefings.
• Support website updates, document uploads, and content management.
• Assist with social media content, scheduling, graphics, and monitoring.
• Support media event preparation and attendee coordination.
• Maintain outreach activity logs and engagement databases.
• Coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, and summaries.
• Provide updates on community concerns to Public Information Specialist II.
• Prepare reports documenting outreach efforts and metrics.
• Distribute project information to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support contractors in implementing approved communication protocols.
• Assist with field outreach activities at project sites and events.
