Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Public Law Litigation Associate in Oakland, CA to join a firm handling complex public law matters across California. You will support partners and senior attorneys on civil litigation, conduct case assessments, and manage discovery and motions with a focus on timely filings.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in public law litigation, excellent writing and research skills, and California bar admission. A hybrid work arrangement is offered along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• 3–6 years of public law litigation experience.
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Writ of mandate and/or appellate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support partners and senior attorneys in all phases of civil litigation.
• Conduct case assessments, discovery, and motion practice.
• Participate in oral arguments, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Manage cases to ensure timely filings and compliance with procedural rules.
