The City of Boca Raton is seeking a Civil Engineer to design and manage public works projects, perform inspections, and coordinate with developers and agencies. This role reports to the Assistant City Engineer or CIP Manager and requires a strong background in capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities include plan reviews, cost estimates, contract administration, and collaboration with GIS and stormwater teams. A Florida engineering credential and valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering work related to public works/utilities.
• EIT or Engineer Intern Certificate from Florida.
• Valid Florida Class E driver's license (points ≤ 6 in 3 years).

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review estimates, designs, and specifications for capital improvements.
• Provide project management and engineering work on capital projects.
• Review and approve site and construction plans for codes conformance.
• Review pay requests, invoices, and change orders for construction projects.
• Coordinate with developers, agencies, and consultants on projects.
• Assist in long-range capital improvement planning.
