Job summary

The California Department of Industrial Relations seeks a Public Information Supervisor to direct intake consultation assessments across DIR programs and to lead training ensuring compliance with laws and policies. Based at El Centro or San Diego, travel and irregular hours are required.

Qualifications

• SOQ required. SOQ must be typed in 12‑point Arial font and be no more than one page in length.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, plan, organize, and review the work of team members who provide intake consultation assessments for all programs within the Labor Commissioner’s Office (LCO).
• Provide ongoing training and education to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with all programs and stakeholders to promote education and access for the public and bring forth labor law enforcement awareness.
• Oversee special projects designed to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction with LCO’s claims and/or complaint processes.
