The California Department of Industrial Relations, Labor Commissioner’s Office, seeks a dedicated intake consultant to assist the public with wage claim guidance, complaints, and applications in a fast-paced state agency environment. The position is located at 1500 Hughes Way, Long Beach, CA 90810.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, presenting information at field events, translating outreach materials, and using Spanish to communicate with monolingual stakeholders.

Formación

• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• SOQ must be submitted with the application and address all sections.
• Travel throughout California.Safety and public interaction experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct intake consultation assessments and assist the public with submitting claims, complaints, applications, or reports.
• Develop and prepare documented referrals to other units and participate in field events to educate the public on labor laws.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to align outreach initiatives with Division goals and communicate using Spanish when needed.
