University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Gillings School of Global Public Health) seeks a section instructor for SPHG 703: Pre-Practicum Assignments to guide up to 30 MPH students per term. You will provide individualized guidance, review planning documents, and help students secure meaningful practicum experiences.

The role emphasizes mentoring, instructional support, and collaboration with the teaching team to ensure quality practicum experiences.

Competenze

• Master of Public Health required.
• Gillings MPH alum and/or MPH practicum preceptor experience preferred.
• Significant interest and experience in career mentoring.

Mansioni

• Attend SPHG 703 instructor training.
• Co-facilitate a 60‑minute course overview session.
• Review pre-course survey responses to identify student needs.
• Conduct 30-minute individual meetings with each student for practicum planning.
• Co-facilitate a 60-minute session on developing the practicum learning agreement.
• Offer office hours by appointment to guide practicum opportunities.
• Evaluate and grade SPHG 703 assignments with timely feedback.
• Track student practicum progress and maintain required documentation.
• Participate in teaching team meetings and course evaluation.
