Jefferson County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Nurse to join the Communicable Disease team in Port Townsend, WA. The role combines skilled nursing and administrative duties to support immunization services and harm reduction programs while meeting grant deliverables.

You will work with the Communicable Disease investigators and clinic staff to protect community health, perform disease investigations, maintain records, and educate individuals and groups on health promotion.

Qualifikationen

• Public Health Nursing certification or BSN required for PHN I/II.
• PHN II requires 2+ years of Public Health nursing experience; advanced degree may substitute.

Aufgaben

• Investigate and report communicable diseases and outbreaks.
• Staff immunization clinics and administer vaccines including COVID-19.
• Provide harm reduction education and nursing care navigation.
• Consult with medical providers on complex cases and refer to community resources.
• Maintain confidential health records and ensure grant deliverables.
