Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences in Salida, CA is seeking a Microbiology Technician. In this role you prepare samples for processing and help maintain documentation to support testing.

You will label plates, pipette solutions, and incubate as required, while keeping accurate records in LIMS. The position requires a HS diploma and basic science knowledge; safety and proper housekeeping are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 1+ year relevant work.
• Basic science knowledge to perform tests and obtain results.
• General PC skills to enter data and results.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis and document the process.
• Label plates to track client and sample numbers.
• Pipette samples into tubes or plates per protocol.
• Pour agar and begin growth process.
• Maintain LIMS and set up equipment for analysis.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
• Support safety policies and housekeeping duties.
