Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 1+ year relevant work.
• Basic knowledge of science to perform testing procedures and obtain accurate results.
• Basic computer knowledge to enter testing data and results.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Planning skills to maintain supplies and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending.
• Label plates to track client and sample numbers.
• Pipette sample solutions into tubes or plates per analysis protocol.
• Pour agar into plates or tubes to start growth.
• Incubate plates/tubes at required times and temperatures.
• Prepare media and broth for pathogen testing as needed.
• Ensure media and materials are ready for next testing sequence.
