Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 1+ year relevant work.
• Basic science knowledge to perform testing and obtain results.
• Basic computer knowledge to enter data and results.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and policies.
• Planning skills to maintain supplies and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending.
• Pipette sample solutions into tubes or plates according to procedures.
• Write identification onto plates to track client and sample numbers.
• Pour agar into plates or tubes to begin growth.
• Maintain LIMS data and documentation for testing procedures.
• Set up equipment and materials needed for analysis.
• Read plates and tubes to determine microorganism counts.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in housekeeping.
• Support lab management in quality and continuous improvement.
