Job summary

State of Indiana is recruiting a Compliance Officer for the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. The role focuses on inspecting licensed facilities, enforcing licensing laws, and protecting public health and safety across a broad regulatory scope.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of work experience in program coordination; development; implementation; or accredited college training in a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage resources effectively.
• Ability to write coherently and accurately.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred knowledge of State and Federal laws, rules, regulations, and requirements (Indiana Criminal Code or other regulations).
• A valid driver’s license and driving record that allows operation of a state vehicle.
• Able to pass an FBI background check.
• Basic knowledge and experience in inspections, investigation processes, audits, corrective action plans, and reporting mechanisms.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Ability to be a credible witness in court cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and investigations of licensed Indiana facilities.
• Ensure facilities are properly licensed and operate under safety standards.
• Protect public health by providing quality service to licensees and the public.
• Inspect facilities and individuals handling pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
• Investigate complaints and ensure licensing requirements are met.
• Review contracts and inspect assigned facilities for compliance.
