Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso – Paul L. Foster School of Medicine seeks an open-rank faculty member in public health and health systems science to develop and deliver an integrated pre-clerkship curriculum.

The successful candidate will teach across disciplines, participate in course governance, and advance scholarly activity while serving the medical education mission in the Borderlands region.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD with MPH and related doctoral training.
• Experience teaching health systems science in medical education.
• Record of scholarship in the field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to pre-clerkship curriculum development and delivery.
• Participate in course administration and instruction.
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate curriculum.
• Employ diverse teaching methods incl. TBL, case-based, lecture, & simulation.
• Provide formative and summative assessment and student mentorship.
• Engage in research and service aligned with the department
