Job summary

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency.
• Medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas.
• Board certification by an ABMS member board.
• Established record of clinical practice and medical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide faculty leadership in clinical science, clinical reasoning, and clinical skills education across the pre-clerkship curriculum.
• Collaborate with basic-science and clinical faculty to connect mechanisms of health and disease with clinical practice.
• Lead the Medical Skills curriculum including interviewing, history-taking, examination, communication, and documentation.
• Engage in formative and summative assessment activities such as OSCEs and tool development.
• Support scholarship, governance, and faculty development within the department.
