Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso’s Paul L. Foster School of Medicine seeks a full-time open-rank faculty member in public health and health systems science to develop and deliver an integrated medical curriculum.

Qualifications

• PhD in public health, health systems science, or MD/DO with MPH
• Expertise in teaching multiple curricular domains of health systems science
• Texas Medical License or eligibility for Texas Medical License for physician candidates

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and delivery of the pre-clerkship curriculum (years 1-2) with emphasis on health systems science
• Participate in course administration and instruction for the pre-clerkship phase
• Collaborate with faculty to deliver an integrated curriculum blending basic, clinical, and health systems science
• Use case-based, large- and small-group, lecture, simulation, and team-based learning methods
• Provide formative and summative assessment of medical students
• Engage in research and scholarship and participate in governance and administrative duties
