Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso – Paul L. Foster School of Medicine seeks a full-time biochemist and/or geneticist to join our interdisciplinary medical education team.

You will develop and deliver an integrated clinical presentation-based curriculum with basic scientists and clinician educators. Responsibilities include course administration and instruction for the pre-clerkship phase, assessments, mentoring, and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field; or medical degree.
• Experience teaching biochemistry and genetics to medical students.
• Evidence of scholarly work in the field.
• Texas medical licensure or eligibility for M.D./D.O. candidates.
• Board certification by a relevant medical board for M.D./D.O. candidates.

Responsabilités

• Participates in course administration and instruction for pre-clerkship education.
• Develops and delivers an integrated curriculum blending basic science and clinical concepts.
• Uses multiple teaching methods including case-based instruction and small-group learning.
• Provides formative and summative assessment and student mentoring.
• Collaborates with faculty and administrators to achieve curriculum goals.
• Engages in research or scholarly activities and institutional governance.
