Louisiana Department of Health seeks an experienced nurse to lead emergency preparedness efforts, coordinate public health response activities, and support disease surveillance. The role involves collaboration with healthcare partners during disasters and emergencies, plus statewide fieldwork.
The position requires active RN licensure in Louisiana (or NLC/eNLC), and a mix of clinical experience with public health training. Travel across the state is expected as part of duties.
Competenze
- Current Louisiana RN license or temporary permit/Multi-state license (NLC/eNLC).
- Two years of experience as a licensed RN.
- Bachelor's in nursing plus one year RN experience.
- Master's in nursing or public health plus one year RN experience.
- Doctorate in nursing or public health.
Mansioni
- Assist in special investigations and mass immunization programs.
- Attend mandatory training including WMD/Bioterrorism Training.
- Develop, plan, coordinate and implement regional Emergency Response Plan.
- Collaborate with parish partners for public health threats; provide nursing guidance.
