Qualifications

• Required - High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred - Associates degree.
• Required - 5 years’ experience in safety/emergency management OR 1 year of experience with a 4 year degree.
• Required - Valid driver’s license in the state of practice.
• Preferred - Emergency Manager Certification.
• Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and conducts general emergency preparedness and response training for personnel.
• Leads emergency preparedness and response efforts and updates the Emergency Operations Plan(s).
• Plans, conducts, and evaluates emergency drills across the system or region.
• Oversees the Campus Emergency Management Committee and participates in the Emergency Management Committee.
• Submits required reports for the Environment of Care committee.
• Liaises with the health department regional coordinator and local/state emergency management counterparts.
• Maintains documentation to meet Joint Commission standards.
• Oversees alert/notification system, supply inventory, and the emergency management trailer.
• Participates in system-wide emergency management initiatives.
• Participates as a member of the Incident Management Team during disasters.
• Other duties as required.
