Job summary

The Dept of State Health Services seeks a CHI Division Coordinator in Austin to oversee complex program initiatives, grants, and policy development. You will support the ADC and work across divisions to improve processes, reporting, and compliance in a high-profile environment.

Essential duties include preparing briefing documents, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and guiding staff on regulatory updates, with telework eligibility and up to 5% travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the program area.
• Experience in grant and funding actions, rulemaking, and policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate review and approval of memos, reports, and publications for the Division Office.
• Lead rule-making processes and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Identify process improvements and coordinate policies for program operations.
• Serve as liaison to staff, agencies, and the public to explain program requirements.
