Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Epidemiologist Data Scientist to support epidemiologic studies, surveillance programs, analytics, and public health data modernization. You will independently conduct analyses, interpret findings, and develop data products to improve health outcomes.

You will design analysis plans, validate methods, and create dashboards, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to scientific manuscripts and client deliverables.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in Epidemiology/Public Health or related; or MPH/MS with 3+ years.
• Experience conducting epidemiologic analyses on large-scale public health or healthcare datasets.
• Experience with SAS, R, Python, SQL or equivalent tools.
• Experience interpreting findings for diverse stakeholders; experience in surveillance, research, evaluation, or public health reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct epidemiologic analyses using diverse health datasets.
• Develop analysis plans, methods documentation, analytic specifications, and reports.
• Perform descriptive, longitudinal, trend, multivariable analyses.
• Translate findings for technical, operational, and executive audiences.
• Design and validate data quality rules, indicators, and performance measures.
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and recurring data products.
• Support modernization and automation of analytic workflows and reporting processes.
• Contribute to scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and dissemination products.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and project teams.
• Mentor junior staff and support quality reviews.
