Job summary

Guidehouse Digital, LLC is seeking an Epidemiologist Data Scientist to advance epidemiologic studies and surveillance through modern analytics and public health data modernization. Based in Houston, TX (onsite), this role combines independent statistical work with client-facing communication, data product development, and technical guidance to support technical, operational, and executive audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or health data science, or MPH/MS with 3+ years of experience.
Experience with large-scale public health/healthcare datasets.
Experience communicating findings to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Conduct epidemiologic analyses using surveillance, clinical, claims, laboratory, survey, and other health datasets.
Create analysis plans, statistical methods documentation, analytic specifications, and technical reports.
Execute descriptive, longitudinal, trend, multivariable analyses and other epidemiologic work.
Translate findings into actionable insights for technical, operational, and executive audiences.
Design and validate data quality rules, surveillance indicators, and performance measures.
Develop dashboards, visualizations, and recurring data products.
Support modernization and automation of analytic workflows and reporting processes.
Contribute to scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and dissemination products.
Provide technical guidance to clients and teams.
Mentor junior staff and support quality review.
