Job summary

Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services company, seeks a Data Manager II to support CDC surveillance data management, quality assurance, reporting, and analytics. Telework with onsite support as needed, occasional travel, and cross-team collaboration are expected.

The role focuses on modernizing data workflows, ensuring data integrity, and delivering dashboards and governance documentation to drive program performance and leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, CS, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in public health surveillance, healthcare analytics, or data management.
• Experience using SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation and management.
• Experience with SAS and/or R for data analysis and processing.
• Experience developing data quality assurance procedures and data validation.
• Experience creating dashboards/reports with Power BI or similar tools.
• Strong ability to work with large relational datasets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection, integration, validation, storage, and maintenance of public health surveillance data.
• Modernize surveillance data workflows, migrating SAS/R processes to scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated data management, reporting workflows, and databases.
• Establish data quality practices, including QA reviews and performance metrics.
• Investigate and resolve data anomalies with CDC personnel and stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards and reporting solutions to support monitoring and leadership decisions.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, metadata standards, and SOPs.
