Job summary

Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services company, seeks a Data Manager II to lead data management, reporting, governance, and QA for CDC programs. You will oversee the NHME System and the CDC One Data Platform (1CDP), guiding data quality, integration, and metadata standards while ensuring security and compliance.

The role requires a Master’s in a related field and 3+ years of data management experience, with strong SQL, Power BI, and Python skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data management, reporting, governance, or evaluation.
• Experience managing large datasets, databases, and reporting systems.
• Experience developing data governance procedures, metadata standards, and QA processes.
• Experience using SQL and data management platforms for integration, validation, and reporting.
• Experience with Power BI, 1CDP, Tableau or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and data quality principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of CDC data management systems and platforms.
• Monitor data pipelines, performance, and reporting processes for reliability.
• Lead troubleshooting of system issues, access concerns, and data anomalies.
• Coordinate system enhancements, maintenance, testing, and upgrades.
• Oversee backend administration ensuring security and compliance.
• Ensure uptime, security, privacy, and policy compliance.
• Lead data quality activities including validation and cleaning.
• Manage data integration across sources to support reporting and program operations.
• Support NHM&E and 1CDP governance procedures and metadata management.
• Provide technical assistance to CDC staff and external stakeholders.
• Serve as liaison between program staff, IT teams, and partners.
• Develop user guides, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate automated reporting workflows using Python, SQL, 1CDP, and other tools.
• Evaluate opportunities for process improvements and data modernization.
• Handle ad hoc requests related to operations and reporting.
