Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Technical Lead to design and implement interoperable public health data exchange and AI solutions. You will guide technical teams, collaborate on standards-based design, and ensure scalable, secure workflows aligned with public health needs.

The role requires five years in a technical leadership position, expertise in HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, APIs, and strong communication to nontechnical stakeholders. Competitive benefits accompany the salary range.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s Degree is required.
Five (5) years in a Technical Lead role.
Experience modernizing tech solutions (Cloud, AI, analytics).
Knowledge across tech stack from infra to UI/UX and maintenance.
Ability to document integration and flow analyses.
PH informatics in surveillance, epidemiology, and operations.
Ability to convey technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
Knowledge of public health data exchange and interoperability standards.

Responsibilities

Design and execute data exchange, interoperability, and AI/ML solutions for surveillance, analytics and reporting.
Own QA/QC and troubleshoot across the stack.
Lead architects, engineers, analysts, and informaticists translating client needs into technical approaches.
Apply interoperability standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, APIs) in public health contexts.
Lead design sessions, document decisions and dependencies.
Review deliverables for scope, requirements, and quality.
Identify security, privacy, onboarding, and data-sharing considerations; discuss mitigations.
Support integration testing and troubleshooting; mentor junior staff.
