Job summary

County of Yolo seeks a Social Worker Supervisor I to oversee Public Guardian staff within the Health and Human Services Agency. The role includes workload management, policy development, data tracking and occasional court testimony, with after-hours standby on a rotating basis and potential telecommuting up to two days per week after training.

The incumbent will supervise staff, handle complex cases, ensure program effectiveness, and coordinate with other divisions and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in social work, behavioral sciences, social/human services or related field.
• Experience in a Public Guardian program and with conservatorships is ideal.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; leadership abilities; data tracking experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise case-carrying Public Guardian staff and support staff, review workloads, audit quality of work, assign cases and evaluate performance.
• Assist in policy/procedure development and trainings; track data outcomes and drive program improvements.
• Address concerns from conservatees, community and other stakeholders; testify in court regarding conservatorship; participate in after-hours standby on a rotational basis.
• Conduct investigations of conservatorship referrals and collaborate with other divisions as needed.
• Represent the department at meetings, track fiscal expenditures and monitor legislation impact.
• Drive vehicle when required for job duties.
