Responsibilities

• Manage all classes of legal support staff who perform administrative functions including preparation of pleadings, correspondence, discovery, filings and service documents, paralegal and data analyses of legal data, statutes, and case law, Public Records Act request coordination and subpoena response coordination.
• Coach and mentor subordinate staff; draft evaluation of performance and probationary reports; oversee disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Prioritize workloads and improve quality and efficiency of processes within the Privacy Protection Program, Records Coordination Unit, and Legal Support Unit.
• Monitor staff time off and absence reports and ensure staffing levels meet department needs.
