Job summary

Qualifications

• Current employment and permanent civil service status with Jefferson Parish; plus, at least two (2) years of experience in the class of Property Manager, Assistant or Building Maintenance Supervisor.
• OR Four (4) years of full‑time, paid work experience in the property management or construction field, responsible for inspecting and supervising the maintenance, repair, and renovation of commercial facilities. Work must include a minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience overseeing at least two trades and estimating labor and materials costs for such projects in commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plans and oversees all maintenance, repairs, renovations, and construction of parish-owned facilities within the assigned Department.
• Manages and supervises maintenance and safety for JeffCAP facilities on the East Bank and West Bank; conducts inspections, regular site visits, and schedules repairs.
• Coordinates with contracted vendors to complete tasks and facilitates project completion through all phases.
• Maintains a 'work order' system for staff job assignments.
