Job summary

City of New York’s Mayor’s Office seeks a capable events professional to plan and execute official City events, including press conferences and town halls. You will coordinate logistics, brief media, and support senior officials in delivering the Mayor’s agenda.

The role requires collaboration with multiple City Hall offices, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A valid NYC driver’s license is preferred and residency may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 1+ years of experience in Advance (Press or Site preferred) or a support role to a high-profile principal.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating logistical production of official events (press conferences, town halls, rallies, and photo opportunities).
  • Conducting walkthroughs and location scouting for Mayoral/City Hall events.
  • Assisting with on-site event set-up.
  • Briefing media and guests with event background and run of show details.
  • Collaborating with communications, press, community affairs and intergovernmental staff to advance the Mayor’s agenda.
  • Providing guidance to the Mayor and Senior Officials to execute events successfully.
  • Offering administrative support to the Advance Team.
